Below are recent/forthcoming events at Farmer Gow's - we are also beginning to include other local countryside events, which we hope you will enjoy.

Summer is just beginning to peep around the corner - so it's a great time to venture out into the countryside. At Farmer Gow's there's plenty to do - and the goat kids are just about ready to be taken for a walk. Farmer Gow's is a great family day out. |

| Mon 4 | May Day Fun ~ there's lot going on with plenty of farm work for budding young farmers - there are animals to feed, bales to climb, pedal tractors to drive and the real tractor ride to take around the farm. A fantastic day out for all the family! |

| Sat 23 - Sat 31 | Magical May at Farmer Gow's ~ lots of fun to be had over the school holiday including daily quizzes and colouring competitons. There are lambs and kids to bottle feed, eggs to collect and tiny chicks to handle. so many wonderful county experiences - and if you are lucky our cows Beauty, Cinderella, Millie and Tilly will all have calved and you will be able to feed them and handle their little ones. |

The farm is alive with animals and there's a fantastic variety of activities to keep busy young farmers happy. Farmer Gow's is a great family day out - or the ideal destination for a 'get-together' of friends. |

| early | Tom Jones our ram Welsh Black Mountain ram is joined in his field by some of our lady ewes ready to lamb in December 2008. An exciting day for him - rams regularly serve up to 50 ewes per season. We should start lamming in 156 days time - |

| New | Season tickets valid for 12 months from date of purchase. We're a bit nervous of this new ticket but hope that it suits you. Season tickets will henceforth be valid from the date of purchase until the end of the same month a year later. That does now mean that we will have to check your tickets every time you come through and that they will be colour coded by month of issue - a bit like a car tax disc! |

| early | The farm's Dexter cattle return home after a visit to the bull. Cinderella, Beauty, Millie and Tillie should all calve from April 2009. |
We can finally sign our Forestry Commission contract and begin fencing for our new ash and hazel coppice. The new woodland 'Hengrove Wood' will have 3 woodland habitats; ash and hazel coppice, woodland edge and woodland pastureland. The new woodland will help increase the farm's bio-divsersity. New Woodland and Coppice Creation workshops to follow late autumn. |

| Winter Blues | open daily and a lovely time of year to get out in the countryside, with the wood buring stove in the farm cafe to sit beside during lunch or with a reviving 'cuppa'. |

| Sun 22 | Mum's Delight ~Children it's time to treat mum to a delicious cuppa and a bun whilst you frolic in the bales and help with the farm work. All Mums can enjoy a complimentary cuppa and a slice of cake whilst the rest of the family help with feeding the animals, collecting the eggs, driving the pedal tracotrs or taking the real Tractor Ride around the farm. A great day out ~ especially for Mums! |
