A Cracking Easter at Farmer Gow's

13 March 2026

During our Easter Eggstravaganza we will be open every day from Friday March 27 to April 12. We absolutely adore this time of year which we see prevalent in the greening-up of the hedgerows, blossom on the trees in Henleaze Wood, birds singing (always), budding of flowers in Sarah's Peace Garden and most of all in the addition of all our young animals. The optional Easter Egg Hunt takes place in the giant bale climb

A Bale of a Time

10 March 2026

Last weekend was the official Grand Opening of our new, all-natural playground and I was lucky enough to be able to share it with Farmer Gow's family: Community, contractors, charity organisations, ambassadors, councillors and friends. Thank you to The High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, John May CVO OBE DL, for officially opening the project and to Mark Johnson, Chamberlain and Shrieval Coordinator, for joining us.

Our Lambs are Perfect for Ewe

4 March 2026

Spring has sprung, and for many families, adults and children, nothing means spring like meeting, handling and cuddling (for adults) a young lamb. This Mother’s Day weekend, March 14 and 15, we’re offering lamb cuddling, chick handling plus free hot drink and sweet treat for all visiting mums and grandmothers. Lamb cuddles is an activity focused on adults who are welcome to share the experience with children. Please note we don't allow children to hold the lambs. Animal welfare calls for quiet and calm when dealing with young animals.

Fun does not come in sizes

12 February 2026

We are thrilled to be open TODAY and now every day, through to and including, Sunday 22. We are hoping that children alongside their parents, grand-parents, and guardians will enjoy the new, all-natural play installations we have been working on throughout the start of the year. Fun does not come in sizes but in experiences and adventures however tall you might be or whatever generation you fall in to, from boomers through to zoomers and Gen Alpha.

The development work on our new adventure park is almost complete, thanks to respected local firm, RJC Construction, based near Wantage. Roland Crook and his team have taken a lead on all major developments on the farm since 2007, when Farmer Gow’s moved to Longcot and have been involved in the ground works for the new Janet Gow Farmyard and the kitchen upgrade. Situated both inside farm buildings and outside, the playground will offer families of all ages fun and entertainment all year round.

We're very nearly there!

The new playground installations are completing Farmer Gow's vision - a dream dedicated to her late mum and dad, who would both be absolutely delighted to see families enjoying the new play experiences which will include tree towers, climbing nets and talking tubes.

In with the new!
